Say hello to ‘26-’28 RJ Fellows Hayley Broich, Josie Davis, H. Reynolds Martínez, and Briana Torres.
These future lawyers just began their two year journey dedicated to honing their skills and advocating for a future free from reproductive oppression.
As state interference in our reproductive lives increases, our RJ Fellows will work alongside partner organizations who focus on youth access or family defense to show up for the most marginalized, targeted, and surveilled.

Hayley Broich hopes to challenge family policing with Neighborhood Defender Services of Harlem, “Balancing the fight for broad scale, systemic changes, while also supporting families individually feels very important to me because it cannot be one or the other, both avenues must be addressed.”
At Brooklyn Defender Services, Josie Davis wants to shift power back to families facing separation by the state, “Too often, those most impacted by the family policing system are treated as subjects of policy rather than experts in their own lives.”
H. Reynolds Martínez will dedicate their time at the National Center for Youth Law where, “If I could immediately accomplish anything within youth access, I’d want to repeal all parental notification and consent laws, allowing youth to have control over their own access to medical care.”
To carry that advocacy from the national level to the day-to-day realities of young people living in Texas, Briana Torres will join Jane’s Due Process. She’s clear about why we must unapologetically show up for youth access, stating “Supporting young people in making those choices and trusting that they have hopes, plans, and goals worth protecting shouldn’t be controversial.”
We cannot wait to see how these RJ Fellows dive into the critical work to provide direct legal services, push crucial policy, and challenge the status quo to keep families together and honor young people’s bodily autonomy.
