If/When/How’s RJ Lawyers Network is a nationwide community of lawyers who are mobilizing for reproductive justice. If you’re looking for a political home, to learn more about RJ and how it can be integrated into your work, this is a community for you.

When you become a member, you’ll gain access to a variety of skill-building workshops, continuing education credits, exclusive networking events, and volunteer research opportunities.

Who should join the RJ Lawyers Network?

The RJ Lawyers Network is built to meet people where they are, and get them where they want to go. We offer introductory-level trainings for lawyers new to reproductive justice, and advanced tracks for legal professionals ready to put their skills to work. This is the network for you if:

  • You are a legal professional who cares about reproductive rights and wants to learn more about reproductive justice and how you can serve the movement.
  • You are already engaged in reproductive justice lawyering and seek a community where you can connect, organize, and make impactful change with other reproductive justice lawyers.
  • You’re a legal professional, but not a lawyer. The Network includes programming that broadly supports the legal professional community. Some offerings, such as continuing legal education and pro-bono project placements, may center barred attorneys.

What does membership include?

Members of the RJLN commit to shared reproductive justice values and join by providing a sliding-scale membership contribution.

RJLN members will deepen their understanding of the reproductive justice framework, support key litigation efforts, and engage in volunteer research challenging legal questions critical to expanding sexual and reproductive autonomy and health.

Members will gain access to:

  • Membership gift, such as an RJLN t-shirt, mug, or water bottle.
  • Introductory-level trainings for lawyers new to reproductive justice, and advanced tracks for legal professionals ready to put their skills to work, including free continuing legal education opportunities
  • Mentorship opportunities with established legal experts and experienced reproductive justice lawyers
  • Panels featuring leading reproductive justice advocates
  • An online resource library and forum to connect with other members

Our brand new online Community is a hub for reproductive justice advocates, lawyers, legal professionals, and law students. If/When/How strives to serve a diverse community. Answering these questions helps us improve our content and outreach. While these questions are optional, the information we obtain from this section allows us to evaluate if and how we are supporting and centering people of color at If/When/How, which is an essential tenet of the reproductive justice movement. If you feel comfortable doing so please answer any or all of the following questions.

Membership Dues


Members of the Reproductive Justice Lawyers Network gain access to a variety of programming events, including dynamic panel discussions with leading reproductive justice advocates, skill-building workshops and networking opportunities.


Your membership includes: 

  • Access to an online community of like-minded, loudmouth lawyers
  • Monthly events
  • Continuing legal education (CLE) workshops
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Additional opportunities that arise during the year

Dues for annual individual membership are $40 and include a membership recognition gift and the benefits listed above. Sliding scale membership is available in the following amounts suggested below.


Suggested amounts:

  • Attorneys in private practice (includes corporate and in-house): $40 
  • Government & nonprofit attorneys: $30
  • Activist: $25
  • Law students: $20

Dues collected for membership defray the cost of your membership recognition gift as well as the time administering the RJ Lawyers Network membership program, such as coordinating volunteer opportunities, developing programming building and maintaining secure technologies for database, communications, and teleconferencing. Please note that  membership dues are not tax-deductible as they pay for the cost of membership and are not processed as a tax deductible donation to If/When/How.
